Speciality | Finest Quality Coffee | Roast and Post, Mail Order Coffee

Welcome to our new Speciality range of coffees. These are premium, single origin coffees of a very high quality, with quite distinctive aroma and taste.  Whilst some of these coffees are readily available, many others are so special that they are in very limited supply, so once they are gone they are gone!  Speciality Coffee is an exciting and growing area of the coffee market, which offers you the opportunity to taste some truly exceptional coffees and to broaden your repertoire.

Many growers are keen to grow and promote these coffees. Because of their high quality they are able to attain a higher price for their coffee, which of course makes it more expensive for us to buy and sell to you.  But the positive side of this is that the growers can increase their income, which benefits the local families and the economy.

Most of these coffees can be brewed through an Espresso Machine - for your lattes, cappuccinos, Espresso shots and long Americanos; or a Drip Filter Machine or Cafetiere. Please check each coffee for details.

We offer generous discounts on 2 or more packs of coffee.

Nicaraguan Flor Silvestre - NEW

Flavour:
Rich & Fruity / Sweet

Finca Flor Silvestre, located at the intriguingly named ‘Cerro de La Explosión’ (Explosion Hill) is owned by Roger Esau Herrera Ortez. These challenges are what make his coffee so unique and special. He is now very proud of being a producer of extremely high quality coffee; in fact, his coffee was recognized in 2015’s Cup of Excellence and has won recognition during the recent ‘Cafes mas Finos de Nicaragua’ Competition (2016). The cup profile of this coffee is Dark Chocolate, Almonds, Caramel and Lemon. Medium-Dark Roasted, this coffee can be brewed through an Espresso Machine, Filter Machine or a Cafetiere. More Details

Ethiopian Koke Honey Sidamo - NEW

Strength:
Flavour:
Rich & Fruity / Sweet

We don’t recommend this coffee for the Espresso enthusiast or Cappuccino/Latte lovers out there ! If using an Espresso machine we recommend drinking as an Americano. This coffee is grown in the Sidamo region south of the capital, Addis Ababa. It is the most southern and most productive province in the country. The region is well known for having ideal climate conditions for growing coffee. This is all due to high altitudes of between 1600 - 1900 metres, ample rainfall, optimal temperature, and rich soil. Washed Sidamos are typically high quality coffee with unique flavours like sweet lemon and florals, and an ideal balance between acidity and body, and can often compare favorably with coffee from the Yirgacheffe region. This coffee has a Strawberry aroma with a hint of Vanilla. The Strawberry flavour is dominant on tasting, with back note hints of Vanilla & Bergamot. More Details
