Welcome to our new Speciality range of coffees. These are premium, single origin coffees of a very high quality, with quite distinctive aroma and taste. Whilst some of these coffees are readily available, many others are so special that they are in very limited supply, so once they are gone they are gone! Speciality Coffee is an exciting and growing area of the coffee market, which offers you the opportunity to taste some truly exceptional coffees and to broaden your repertoire.
Many growers are keen to grow and promote these coffees. Because of their high quality they are able to attain a higher price for their coffee, which of course makes it more expensive for us to buy and sell to you. But the positive side of this is that the growers can increase their income, which benefits the local families and the economy.
Brewing Guide
Most of our Speciality coffees are medium to dark roasted. This makes them suitable to be brewed using most brewing methods such as Bean-To-Cup Machines, Electric Espresso Machines, Moka Pots / Stove Top Espresso Pots as well as Filter and Cafetiere methods of brewing coffee. Please check each coffee for details.

This delicious coffee is grown in south western Honduras, just a stones throw from Guatemala and El Salvador. The microclimate and rich soil, coupled with the perfect altitude ranges, make ideal conditions to grow richly flavoured coffees. Farmed by small fincas ranging from 2 hectares to 12 hectares, most of the coffee is grown between 1200m and 1600m above sea level and is naturally processed. The cup profile is bold acidity from fresh fruit flavours of Lemon, Mandarin and Orange. Medium-Dark roasted, this coffee can be brewed through a Bean-to-Cup machine, as an Espresso, or can also be brewed as a Filter or Cafetiere coffee. More Details

Sourced from a family farm in south eastern Guatemala, Mrs Maria Figueroa de Argueta acquired the land and started cultivating coffee in 1953, and the farm is now run by the third generation of the family. With a real focus on quality for more than a decade, and with success in the Guatemala Cup of Excellence Awards, the farm has established itself as a top traditional Arabica producer in Guatemala. The cup profile is Ripe Mango, Red Cherry and Canned Peaches, with a Floral finish. This coffee is from the village of Las Capucas in Western Honduras, not far from the border with Guatemala. The coffee is created using cherries from multiple small holders who deliver to Capucas, all of which are located on the fringes of the Celaque National Park on the Copan region of Honduras. A natural or dry processed coffee, the bean takes on some of the sweetness and fruitiness of the fruit of the cherry. This coffee is Medium-Dark roasted so can be brewed as a Filter/Cafetiere, brewed through a Bean-to-Cup Machine or as a milder Espresso. Its flavour can be characterised as Sweet Chocolate, Caramel, and Nutty with a Medium Body. More Details

With a real focus on organic methods for fertilisation and disease and pest control, this coffee is wet processed resulting in a greater clarity of flavours and a cleaner finish. The flavour profile is nutty, with flavours of Toast, Walnuts and a hint of Lemon, with a lovely smooth finish. Papua New Guinea Arokara Grade A comes from the Arokara Cooperative based in the Eastern Highlands region of Papua New Guinea. The soils in Papua New Guinea are incredibly fertile and tend to produce coffees which have a crisp citrus acidity and rich flavours of chocolate and tropical fruits. Papua New Guinea Arokara Grade A is noted for is smooth flavour with slight fruitiness, and it has the extra body and flavour characteristics of Indonesian coffees. The cup profile can be described as Dark Chocolate and plum, with a rounded creamy body with winey acidity. Medium-Dark roasted this coffee can be brewed through a Bean-to Cup Machine, as an Espresso or as a Filter/Cafetiere coffee. More Details
